“I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a businesswoman, even though I didn’t fully know what that meant.

As an adult, whilst working full time, I started a market stall where I was selling hair products.

This was my first venture into proper business. I then left my full-time job as a nurse, retrained for a year to become a hairdresser, worked in a few salons, then became a full-time mobile hairdresser.

When a shop premises became available, I was able to secure it with help from family and that’s where I have been since then.

I enjoy seeing the transformation of not just the hair, but the confidence when a client feels good in their new hair. I love that I am able to offer a full service of aftercare products via the retail department of the shop.

Customers also walk in off the street to just buy hair products, which helps them to have someone knowledgeable to ask any question about their hair needs. I enjoy helping and serving them.”
